Before and after COVID 19.

After a lot of thinking, I realised that I couldn’t really remember feeling in any particular way before COVID 19. A feeling of general fleeting moments came over me, but nothing in particular stood out to me. It seems like a lot of things I did back then, naturally, were taken for granted as normal things, and I was not able to imprint them into my brain as "good" memories. After the initial pandemic breakout, it seems all I have been constantly thinking about (and rightly so), is general health and safety and WASHING YOUR HANDS. I wanted the second part to be a lot more sparse and repetitive, because in actual fact, I had not done anything in the first 5 months of the pandemic. The ink used instead of clear water was used to add a bit of severity and doom to the piece.Initial designs were done on Procreate, and the piece was screen printed on paper. I tried out different colour schemes, some more colourful than others. I decided on the red and black as it felt like a more urgent colour.
